[S1 Ep.6] Faith: Trusting God When You Can’t See
Awareness Unlocked — Episode 6
✨ What Do You Do When God Feels Silent?
What do you do when you’ve prayed… but nothing changes? When you’ve believed… but nothing looks different? When you’re holding on to a promise from God, but everything around you says, “Let it go”?
That’s the space we’re sitting in today — the space between the promise and the manifestation. And if that’s where you are right now, I want you to know something: you are not forgotten.
This is Episode 6 of Awareness Unlocked, and we’re talking about faith — real faith. Not the pretty, Instagram-quote kind of faith. I’m talking about the kind that makes you get up when your body says stay down. The kind that makes you pray through tears. The kind that makes you whisper, “God, I still trust You”… even when you can’t see a single reason to.
🕊 Part 1: What Is Faith, Really?
Let’s start with the scripture that lays the foundation for everything we’re going to talk about today.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
— Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
Substance. Evidence. Those are legal terms. That’s courtroom language. God is saying that faith is not just a feeling — it’s proof. When the world says, “Show me evidence,” God says, “Faith IS the evidence.”
Faith doesn’t need to see it to believe it. Faith says, “It is done” — even when every circumstance says otherwise. It’s not blind optimism. It’s spiritual conviction rooted in the character of God.

📖 Part 2: Faith in the Waiting — When Nothing Makes Sense
Here’s the part that nobody really talks about — the waiting. The in-between. The silence. You prayed. You fasted. You believed. And now… nothing.
Maybe you’re waiting on healing. Maybe you’re waiting on a financial breakthrough. Maybe you’re waiting on a relationship to be restored. And every single day feels like you’re standing at the edge of a cliff, and God is saying, “Jump.”
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
Walking by faith doesn’t mean the road is clear. It means you walk anyway. It means you take the next step even when you can’t see the staircase. Even when the path disappears into fog. Because the One who called you is faithful, and He doesn’t abandon His children in the dark.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
That word “lean” — it means to rest your weight on. God is literally saying: stop trying to figure it out on your own. Stop carrying the weight of the outcome. Lean on Me.
🔥 Part 3: Faith Is Forged in the Fire
Let me tell you something that changed my life: faith is not built in the miracle — it’s built in the waiting for one.
Think about Abraham. God told him he’d be the father of many nations. And then Abraham waited 25 years before that promise was fulfilled. Twenty-five years of looking at his wife, Sarah, and seeing no child. Twenty-five years of the enemy whispering, “God lied to you.”
But Abraham held on. And the Bible says something incredible about him:
“Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him.”
— Romans 4:18 (NIV)
Against all hope, he hoped. That’s what real faith looks like. It doesn’t deny the pain — it doesn’t ignore the reality — but it refuses to let go of God’s Word.

🙏 Part 4: The Surrender That Unlocks Everything
Here’s the hardest part of faith: surrender. Letting go of how you think it should happen. Releasing the timeline. Trusting that God’s plan — even when it’s painful — is better than anything you could have designed.
“‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.'”
— Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV)
Some of you are holding on so tightly to what you think God should do that you’re missing what He is doing. The delay is not a denial — it’s development. He’s preparing you for what He’s preparing for you.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
— Romans 8:28 (NIV)
👉 Reflection Questions
- What promise from God are you struggling to hold on to right now?
- Where in your life are you trying to walk by sight instead of faith?
- What would it look like to truly surrender the outcome to God — today?
- Can you recall a time when God came through for you when it seemed impossible?
🤍 A Declaration of Faith
Speak this out loud over your life today:
I declare that I walk by faith and not by sight. I trust God’s timing, even when I can’t see the way forward. I will not be shaken by what I see — I will stand firm on what God has spoken. His promises over my life are yes and amen. I am not forgotten. I am not abandoned. I am being prepared. And my breakthrough is coming — in Jesus’ name.
🙏 Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts that are weary but willing. Lord, we confess that sometimes the waiting is hard — that we’ve questioned Your timing, Your plan, even Your presence. But today we choose to trust You. We choose to walk by faith. We choose to believe that You are working even when we can’t see it. Strengthen our faith, Lord. Renew our hope. Remind us that You have never — not once — failed us. We surrender our timelines, our expectations, and our fears into Your hands. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
✨ Carry This Truth Into Your Week
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Wherever you are right now — whatever valley you’re walking through — God is closer than you think. Keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Your faith is building something beautiful on the other side.

[INTRO — 1:00]
Welcome back to Awareness Unlocked. I’m your host, and this is the space where we don’t just talk about faith — we live it. We dig into it. We wrestle with it until it transforms us.
Today, we’re going to Episode 6, and we’re diving into something that I think every single believer has wrestled with at some point: faith — real faith, raw faith. Not the kind you put on a bumper sticker. I’m talking about the kind that makes you get up when your body says stay down. The kind that makes you pray through tears. The kind that makes you whisper, God, I still trust you. Even when you can’t see a single reason to.
[PART 1: WHAT IS FAITH — 3:00]
So let’s start here. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11, verse 1. Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I want you to sit with that. Substance. Evidence. Those are legal terms. That’s courtroom language. God is saying faith is not a feeling. It’s not wishful thinking. It’s proof. It’s weight. It’s something real even when you can’t touch it. When the world says, show me evidence, God says faith is the evidence.
That means your faith speaks before the results show up. Your faith stands before the breakthrough arrives. Faith doesn’t need to see it to believe it. Faith says it is done before it’s even started. That’s not delusion, that’s dominion.
[PART 2: FAITH IN THE WAITING — 6:00]
Now, here’s the part that nobody really talks about — the waiting. The in-between. The silence. You’ve prayed. You fasted. You believed. And nothing. Maybe you’re waiting on healing. Maybe you’re waiting on a financial breakthrough. Maybe you’re waiting on a relationship to be restored. And every day feels like you’re standing at the edge of a cliff and God is saying, jump.
And the enemy is right there whispering, He’s not going to catch you. But what does the Word say? Second Corinthians 5:7, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Walking by faith doesn’t mean the road is clear. It means you walk anyway. It means you take the next step even when you can’t see the staircase. Even when the ground disappears beneath your feet.
There’s another one, Proverbs 3, 5 through 6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to him and he will make your paths straight. That word lean, it literally means to rest your weight on. God is saying stop trying to figure it out. Stop carrying the weight of the outcome. Lean on me.
[PART 3: FAITH FORGED IN FIRE — 10:00]
Let me tell you something that changed my life. Faith is not built in the miracle. Faith is built in the waiting for one. Think about Abraham. God told him he’d be the father of many nations. And Abraham waited 25 years. Twenty-five years of looking at his wife, Sarah, and seeing no child. Twenty-five years of the enemy whispering, God lied to you.
But Abraham held on. And the Bible says in Romans 4:18, against all hope, Abraham in hope believed. Against all hope, he hoped. That’s what real faith looks like. It doesn’t deny the pain. It doesn’t ignore the reality. But it refuses to let go of God’s Word.
I had my Airbnb business with multiple properties, and that was my lifeline. And then, one by one, everything started falling apart. Properties I had invested in. Relationships I had built. Income I had depended on. Gone. And I remember standing in my apartment, asking God, why? I didn’t understand. But I held on. And today I can tell you — God didn’t just restore what was lost. He replaced it with something better. Something I never could have built on my own.
[PART 4: THE SURRENDER — 15:00]
Here’s the hardest part of faith: surrender. Letting go of how you think it should happen. Releasing your timeline. Trusting that God’s plan — even when it’s painful — is better than anything you could have designed.
Isaiah 55, verses 8 through 9 says, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Some of you are holding so tightly to what you think God should do that you’re missing what He is doing. The delay is not denial. It’s development. He’s preparing you for what He’s preparing for you.
Romans 8:28 says, and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
[DECLARATION & PRAYER — 20:00]
I declare that I walk by faith and not by sight. I trust God’s timing, even when I can’t see the way forward. I will not be shaken by what I see. I will stand firm on what God has spoken. His promises over my life are yes and amen. I am not forgotten. I am not abandoned. I am being prepared. And my breakthrough is coming — in Jesus’ name.
